Dr. Ashleigh Levison Discusses Uveitis and the Possible Connection to Black-Ink Tattoos on AZTV

Dr. Ashleigh Levision talks with AZTV’s Sandy Moss about the possible connection between Black Ink Tattoos and Uveitis. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, tattoos — especially black-ink ones — can cause an eye condition called uveitis. Dr. Levison also discusses Eyeball Tattooing and the dangers involved. There have been only a total of eight cases reported since the 1950s in relation to tattoos causing uveitis. Uveitis is an inflammation of the middle layer of the eye.
