About Us
Retinal Consultants of Arizona (RCA) was established in 1980 in central Phoenix. Since then, we have grown to include 32 locations throughout Arizona, providing improved access to the highest quality medical care.
We are proud to have become Arizona’s largest and most experienced ophthalmology practice focused specifically on the diagnosis and management of the retina and vitreous. We hope our website will provide answers to some of your questions about the care and services we provide. You will find an overview of RCA’s doctors and useful patient information, as well as information regarding ongoing research and educational activities.
Although RCA has grown over the years to better serve our communities with improved access to the latest technology and treatment, we still commit ourselves to the importance of compassionate, individualized care. We look forward to listening to you and explaining your condition while providing a partnership to achieve the best possible outcome.
Why RCA
All of our physicians are Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, with additional subspecialty training in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the retina, vitreous, and macula. Our doctors have trained at world-renowned facilities, but more importantly, we strive to make your experience at RCA a positive one. We understand that an urgent visit to the doctor’s office can be stressful, and we will do everything possible to work with you to provide a compassionate explanation of your condition and treatment options. We value your feedback and we always strive to improve your visit with us.
We understand your time is valuable and we have many locations across Arizona to better serve your needs. We will make every effort to make your experience at RCA both convenient and efficient.
Unfortunately, there are many medical conditions that do not have a “cure.” Although we provide the latest technology available to treat retinal disorders, we are actively involved in multiple clinical research trials in hopes of expanding our treatment options for our patients. RCA physicians contribute to the advancement of new therapies by participating in clinical research studies, which represent the most advanced research being conducted in ophthalmology today. We are proud of the fact that RCA’s Retinal Research Institute is one of the busiest and largest retina-only research organizations in the country. Often, our clinical trials provide patients with a treatment option for diseases that don’t have any other available therapies.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email or call.
