Project SENA (Scholarship & Education for Native Americans) is a Phoenix-based nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive educational resources such as scholarships and mentorships to qualifying Native American youth and adults – promoting academic excellence and an improved quality of life for both current and future generations. Though Project SENA, Retinal Consultants of Arizona fund two scholarships per year for Native American youth and adults interested in a career as an Ophthalmic Assistant. The course is provided at the Maricopa Skills Center and is one of the only OA training course in the country recognized internationally. Retinal Consultants of Arizona is also a registered mentor through Project SENA and helps Project SENA students find work within the eye care field upon graduation.
