Education & Honors
David T. Goldenberg, M.D. graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his internship in internal medicine at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California. He then completed his residency in ophthalmology at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute. Dr. Goldenberg joined Retinal Consultants of Arizona in 2009.
Dr. Goldenberg completed a two-year fellowship in medical retina and vitreoretinal surgery at Associated Retinal Consultants at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Clinical Research & Authorships
Dr. Goldenberg has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on various topics. He has lectured at many local and national ophthalmology meetings. He has a particular interest in the surgical repair of macular holes, macular puckers, retinal detachments, and diabetic-related eye problems.
Awards and Affiliations
Throughout his career, Dr. Goldenberg has received numerous honors and awards for his work. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists. He is currently the President of the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society and serves on the board of directors of the Arizona Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Goldenberg was named a Phoenix Magazine Top Doc in 2016 and 2017.
In his spare time, Dr. Goldenberg enjoys spending time with his family, competing in triathlons, snowboarding, hiking, and playing tennis.
