Education & Experience
After growing up in Scottsdale, Arizona and attending Phoenix Country Day School, Ashleigh L. Levison MD, graduated summa cum laude from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA where she was elected to join the national honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. She attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she was selected to join Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society.
After finishing an internship in internal medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Levison completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of California San Francisco. She then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic and stayed for an additional fellowship in uveitis. Dr. Levison joined Retinal Consultants of Arizona in 2016.
Clinical Research & Affiliations
Dr. Levison has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles and book chapters on retina and uveitis. She has been involved in several studies and has presented the results of her research at multiple national scientific meetings. Dr. Levison is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The Association For Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Life Outside Work
Dr. Levison is excited to be home in the Valley of the Sun where her family still lives. In her free time she enjoys attending professional sports games, concerts, and the theater. She also enjoys traveling and snow skiing.
