Pravin U. Dugel, M.D.
graduated from UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, California, in
1988. He was an intern at LAC/USC Medical Center and completed his
residency at the Doheny Eye Institute, USC School of Medicine, Los
Angeles, California, in 1992. Dr. Dugel completed Fellowships in Vitreo-retinal
Surgery at the Doheny Eye Institute and in Vitreo-retinal Diseases at
the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami, Florida, in 1993.
Dr. Dugel was the Chief Resident Supervisor at the Doheny Eye Institute
until he joined Retinal Consultants of Az, Ltd. in July 1994. He has
been co-investigator in National Eye Institute research studies and in
several Multicenter Studies. Dr. Dugel has authored more than thirty
papers and book chapters and is the first person to receive both the
Heed Foundation Fellowship Award and the Ronald G. Michels Vitreo-Retinal
Surgery Fellowship Award.

Donald W. Park, M.D.
Dr. Park graduated from
Harvard College and Harvard Medical School with honors. He completed his
residency at California Pacific Medical Center and a 2-year surgical
vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and
Clinics. He is a recipient of the Heed and Heed/Knapp Ophthalmic
Foundation Fellowships. He is a principal investigator of studies on
macula and retinal diseases, including National Eye Institute sponsored
studies. He has written numerous papers on retinal diseases and presents
research studies at retina meetings. He is also the past President of
the Phoenix Ophthalmology Society, member of the Retina Society, and
American Society of Retina Specialists.

Derek
Y. Kunimoto, M.D. graduated from Harvard
College summa cum laude, and Harvard Medical School with honors. He
received his law degree from Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship.
He was a medicine intern at Massachusetts General Hospital, and
completed his residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where he
also served as co-chief resident. He then completed a 2-year
vitreoretinal fellowship, also at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Kunimoto was
recognized as both a Heed Foundation Fellow and a Ronald G. Michels
Fellow. He is an awardee of the Fulbright Scholarship for the study of
infectious eye diseases in India. Dr. Kunimoto has authored numerous
peer-reviewed publications and two major ophthalmology textbooks, The
Wills Eye Video Atlas of Ocular Surgery, and the 4th edition of The
Wills Eye Manual.

Edward
J. Quinlan, M.D. graduated from the University of
Nebraska Medical Center in 1994. He completed his Ophthalmology
residency at West Virginia University Medical Center and a 2 year
Vitreoretinal fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute of the Johns
Hopkins Hospitals in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Quinlan was on the faculty
of the Wilmer Eye Institute as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology
from 2002-2007. During his time at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Dr. Quinlan
served as a principal investigator and co-investigator in numerous
clinical trials. His research involved the investigation of new
treatments for retinal diseases including age-related macular
degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and has led to publications in
peer reviewed journals. In addition Dr. Quinlan has participated in the
training of other retinal specialists. He is a member of the American
Society of Retinal Specialists and the Association for Research in
Vision and Ophthalmology.

Jaime
R. Gaitan M.D.
graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in
2002. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Jackson
Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida in 2003. Dr. Gaitan then completed
his residency in ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in 2006,
followed by a two year fellowship in medical and surgical retina also at
Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. At Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Dr. Gaitan
served as administrative chief of the retinal fellows and was a
sub-investigator in several clinical trials. He also contributed to
publications in the field of retina and infectious disease. Dr. Gaitan
speaks fluent Spanish and is a member of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and
Ophthalmology.

Karim
N. Jamal, M.D. graduated from
Rice University in Houston, TX with degrees in Biochemistry and Business
Management. He then went to medical school at the University of Texas
Southwestern, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National
Medical Honor Society and completed his degree in 2003. He returned to
his hometown of Binghamton, NY for internship, and went on to residency
training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Jamal
completed his 2 year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery with Texas
Retina Associates in Dallas, TX in 2009. Dr. Jamal has written and
contributed to several book chapters and peer-reviewed publications.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American
Society of Retina Specialists, and was recently named to the latest
edition of the Cambridge Who's Who registry of Executives,
Professionals, and Entrepreneurs.

T. Goldenberg, M.D.
graduated from the UCLA
School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his internship in internal
medicine at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California. He
then completed his residency in ophthalmology at the UCLA Jules Stein
Eye Institute. Dr. Goldenberg completed a two year fellowship in medical
retina and vitreoretinal surgery at Associated Retinal Consultants at
William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. During his fellowship,
Dr. Goldenberg was actively involved with ongoing clinical research
trials and he has published more than twenty papers and book chapters.
He has received numerous honors and awards for his work. Dr. Goldenberg
is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American
Society of Retina Specialists, and the Association for Research in
Vision and Ophthalmology.
